Question & Answer

Q: What do you want to be when you grow up?

A: When I was younger I always would say I wanted to be a firetruck. Then someone told me two weeks ago that it wasn’t possible. My new dream is to become a software architect, lead developer or lead designer for a Microsoft team. Currently I am targeting the XNA/DirectX and OS teams.

Q: If you could change only one thing about Microsoft, what would it be?

A: That is a tough question to answer as there are many things that I would love to change about the company. I would say consolidation is the biggest problem facing Microsoft. They grew too fast in too many directions and have had a hard time bring all the different services and platforms together. They are continually beat by new guys on the block that have started off with that connected vision, even if it is because of Microsoft in the first place.

Q: What is your dream bike?

A: Another tough one, but being a Trek fanatic at heart leads me to one of two bikes. Either the Madone 6.9 Pro or the Equinox TTX 9.9 SSL. Both are fantastic bikes and quite a few steps above my already amazing Madone 5.2. However I would want the bikes to be custom build by Trek for my body with a full DuraAce group rather than SRAM.

Q: If you could meet one person, who would it be?

A: Most definitely Michael Schumacher because he has been such an amazing driver for so long. I envy his ability to remain at such a high level of racing for so long. His consistency over the many years at Ferrari boggles my mind. I would love to try and figure out how he did it and how much the drive factored in.

Q: Okay, dream bike down. Dream Car?

A: This one is an incredibly easy one. A Ferrari F50 GT. There were only three made for an elite racing series but Ferrari decided not to go forward with the project. It is a shame because the car boasts a V12 (I believe a twin-turbo) that pushes ~750-800bhp in a car that weighs just a little over 2000lbs. This car has about four times the power of mine and weighs half as much! It is a truly beautiful beast that goes as fast as it looks.

Q: Favorite food?

A: Hmm. For dinner I would have to say homemade stromboli. For dessert, it depends on the season but you can never go wrong with some apple crisp or carrot cake.
